The SuperBead Large marble black is a bead filter for koi ponds and swimming ponds that captures dirt and provides biological filtration.

The SuperBead marble black product line was developed specifically around the flushing process and works with energy-efficient low-pressure pumps. The Large version is suitable for a recommended maximum koi pond volume of 70 m³ or a swimming pond/pool of 175 m³. This makes the filter an option if you want to filter a larger pond with a low pump pressure requirement.

• Flow rate from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 35 m³ per hour, with a maximum pressure of 0,7 bar.
• Biological capacity of 1 kg per day for the Large version.
• Approximately 400 litres of flushing water per flush, with the biology remaining intact.
• Large 90 mm connections.
• Easy flushing by switching off the pump and allowing the filter to drain.
• Polyethylene filter from the Air-Aqua brand, manufactured in the Netherlands.

You can install the SuperBead both above and below water level. Outdoor installation is possible because the filter itself has no electrical components, such as a blower. If you want to position the filter further away from the pond, take the pipe diameters into account.

A pre-filter, such as the SuperSieve, is required, except when used in an indoor basin. Flushing can be automated with an automatic kit. In this setup, the system pump stops during flushing, and a dirty-water pump can optionally be switched on to discharge the flushing water.
